WILD WOUNDED ANIMALS

To hold a newborn in your hands is to many parents, the first real encounter with the fear of death and the fear of losing.

When Jakob becomes a father, he is overcome by fierce anxiety attacks, which threatens his new little family, and forces him to figure out why he reacts so strongly to his new life.

To understand if the anxiety is a sickness running in the family bloodline, he seeks out his father, who is a hunter. To his quiet father,  talking definitely feels more dangerous than taking lives - but surprisingly he enjoys to sing!

“Wild Wounded Animals” is a deeply personal story about fatherhood, anxiety and breaking vicious circles. It also serves as a visual meditation transferring the feelings of anxiety to the audience through expressive and suggestive images.
